Cracks in the Telugu Desam Party and Jana Sena-headed by actor-turned politician Pawan Kalyan are deepening further with the latter announcing his party’s decision to contest from Razole and Rajanagaram Assembly constituencies. In what is described as a tit for tat move, the ‘power star’ retaliated the decision of TDP supremo and former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s decision to contest from Araku and Mandapeta seats even before beginning talks on seat-sharing by the coordination committee set up by both the parties.

Addressing party cadres and supporters at Mangalagiri office near here on Friday after attending Republic Day function, he said like Naidu, he is also under tremendous pressure from his party rank and file. “Since he (Naidu) has not followed mitra dharma (friendly alliance) let me also announce that my party will contest from two seats.”There have been reports doing the rounds that all is not well in the alliance ever since TDP national general secretary and Naidu’s son Nara Lokesh went on record saying that his father is going to become next Chief Minister.
